We're so excited you are considering our home for your next Ocean City, NJ vacation! 

Here are a few things for you to know about YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME:

BEACH & BOARDWALK

• Beach:  Ocean City is known for its beaches, which stretch for eight miles along the Jersey shore. In New Jersey, the island stands out for its pristine white sand and flourishing bay side. The beaches are staffed with lifeguards from the last week in June until the end of the summer, so your family can enjoy a pleasant, relaxing, and safe time at the beach. A full staff of lifeguards and emergency personnel are on hand during the peak summer months to provide a safe environment for our visitors. Throughout the season, thousands of beach-goers enjoy the sand and surf on their vacations or day trips.
• Beach Tags: Beach tags are included with your stay. While adult need beach tags on the beach, children under 12 do not. Please be sure to leave your tags behind at the end of your stay for the next guest to enjoy. There is a $40 charge to replace lost tags.
• Beach Gear: We offer a plethora of gear to include; chairs, beach cart, umbrella, cooler, boogie boards & toys
• Boardwalk: Ocean City’s iconic boardwalk is just steps away that offers businesses, arcades, amusement rides, shops, and restaurants. The boardwalk has many easy access ramps for strollers and wheelchairs. 
• Downtown:  Located between the beach and bay on Asbury, the downtown Ocean City shopping district is a spot not to be missed on your Ocean City vacation!
• Seagulls: Seagulls seem to be lurking everywhere on the beach and the boards. They’re not really a problem, they’re just trying to score some easy food off of you. Keep your food close to your chest and covered and it won’t be an easy target for a dive bombing run! And whatever you do DON’T feed them intentionally (it’s illegal). 
• Bikes: Whether you rent or bring your own, bikes are permitted on the boardwalk until 12:00 noon each day and there are marked bike lanes all around town. For more information visit www.bikeocnj.org
• Sand: For your comfort, we'd like to keep sand out of the house. When returning from the beach, please be sure to rinse off legs, feet, and sandy shoes using the outdoor shower which has hot and cold water and is great for a full-body rinse. 

ABOUT THE HOUSE

• Parking: Off Street parking is available.  
• Keys: There are no keys to the unit, making it easy for everyone to come and go without having to keep track or hide a set of keys.
• Kitchen: The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils for cooking. There is a toaster and coffee maker. There is also a full set of plates, bowls, cups, glasses, and eating utensils. Feel free to bring paper products, ‘cause who wants to do dishes on vacation!
• Laundry: We offer a washer and dryer in each unit (bring your own detergent). 
• Linen: There are pillows, comforters, and blankets at the house, but you will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, and towels (bath & beach).
• Items to Bring From Home: 
  • Linens - Sheets, pillow cases (and maybe your own pillow for optimal rest between beach sessions), bath towels, wash cloths, beach towels
  • Laundry detergent, bleach, dryer sheets
  • Paper products - Plates, cups, Solo cups, utensils
  • Sunscreen
• Internet: Wi-Fi is available and the login information will be in each unit when you arrive. 
• TV: Every bedroom (in addition to the living room) has a TV.  HD Service + Sports package!  Streaming also available.
• Phone: There is no landline phone service in the house. 
• Smoking: As stipulated in the lease, there is no smoking inside the house. Outside please exercise extreme care in extinguishing and cleaning up cigarette butts.  
• Grilling: We love grilling too, but grilling is not permitted on any porch, deck, or stairs.  Please grill out back, a gas grill is provided for your use.  Enjoy!
• Trash: There are two trash receptacles in each kitchen, one for regular trash and one for recycling. Ocean City co-mingles recycling, so all recyclable materials can go in the same container. Trash and recycling cans are located in the back of the house. Trash/recycling pick up information is posted on the refrigerator.  If you would be so kind as to put the cans back in the corral after each trash pick up. 
• Departure Time: Check-out is by 10:00 am (the cleaners arrive promptly at 10:00 am).
• Cleaning: Before your departure, please be so kind as to tidy up the house (further instructions will be mailed with your check in information) and give a quick wipe to surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom. Please take the trash and recycling out. If any of the linens provided get soiled, please take the time wash them for the next guest. Our cleaners have limited time so the tidier you leave your unit, the faster it will be ready for the guest. And thank you! We really appreciate your help with this.
• Unit Problems: Our contact information will be provided to you for the duration of your stay. Please call if anything breaks or is not working properly so we can get it corrected for you quickly. 

OUTSIDE THE HOUSE

• Medical Services: In the event they are needed, there are both a hospital and an urgent care each located within a 10-minute drive of the house.
  • Shore Medical Center - 100 Medical Senter Dr., Somers Point, NJ (10 minutes) 
  • AtlantiCare Urgent Care Center - 443 Shore Rd., Somers Point, NJ (8 minutes)
